About Us
In 1970, a group of dedicated citizens formed the United Fund of Noble County and in 1975 the organization was incorporated as the United Way of Noble County. Founded with a vision of the future for a community that cared for its residents, it was a voluntary organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all. United Way volunteers have been building on the vision for more then 30 years.
To make this possible, United Way, an autonomous local organization, conducts an annual fundraising campaign with the help of area businesses and community volunteers.
All funding policies and decisions are made here by a volunteer board of directors, all of whom live and/or work in Noble County. A citizen review process involving community volunteers meeting with partner agencies' volunteers to review and discuss programs which are funded through United Way. This review process assures contributors their dollars are being used to deliver programs to people in need.
The organization receives services from United Way of America, a trade organization that assists local United Ways with market research information, licenses use of the United Way logo, and helps cultivate relationships with major national employers as well as the national Football League (NFL).
