Community Impact

United Way of Noble County is currently collaborating with community partners to create positive long-lasting changes in community conditions.

The Campaign Solicitor, are the vital link between United Way and the donor.  It’s your task to educate donors that a generous gift to United Way is the best way to help people and make sustained changes in our community.  Here’s how to make a strong case for giving.  Studies show that most United Way donors share these concerns, which are sometimes called “Donor Needs.”

They want to know that their gift is going to the right organization.

Explain that United Way is more than a charity and more than a fund-raiser.  It is a partnership of donors, volunteers and professionals who pool their experience and resources to create and fund programs that change lives.  United Way volunteers begin with research that identifies our community’s most pressing needs.  Then, they develop solutions that produce measurable results.  Often, these programs are strengthened through strategic alliances, which include multiple agencies, local government and other community institutions.

They want their contribution to make the greatest difference possible.

Explain how United Way mobilizes individuals, business, organized labor, government, institutions, and human service agencies in strategic efforts that build a stronger community.

They want to know in measurable terms what is being achieved with their gift.

Study the community impact areas on the inside of this brochure you will be able to discuss specific areas of impact that UWNC is currently addressing.

They want their gift to be appreciated.

Make sure the donors understand that their gift will be appreciated by United Way’s committed volunteers as well as the thousands of individuals their contribution will benefit.
