Advocacy is a call to action. It is speaking for those who haven’t found their voice. Your support creates awareness around issues that affect Noble County. People cannot solve problems that they cannot see.
United Way of Noble County is working to advance solutions for families that are working hard but struggling to survive. By participating in public policy efforts that coincide with the human service work currently being done in our community, United Way can significantly increase the investment made to our community and its residents.
As a 50-year-old pillar of the Noble County community—we have firsthand experience to help guide policymakers as they tackle impossible problems. We are dedicated to being good stewards of the time, resources, and staff available for public policy work. We work with United Way Worldwide to create a unified voice on specific policy issues. For additional policy work, we maintain a strong stance of support for the work already being done by other community-minded leaders and organizations.
Our priority issues are:
QUALITY EDUCATION AND CHILDCARE FOR EVERY CHILD | We advocate for parents to have access to safe, healthy, high quality and affordable childcare and early education experiences for their children.
FINANCIAL STABILITY | We advocate for financial literacy, so hard-working families have better understanding and ability to sustain themselves and their family with an eye to a healthy, safe future.
